I help leaders develop strategic clarity, operating plans that drive execution and accountability, and communications that are authentic and build trust from the inside out.
Determine where (and where not) to play, how to win, what capabilities need to be developed, and what capital may be required.
Translate strategy into clear actions—by function—supported by the right metrics and ways of working to operate in sync.
Develop messaging that connects on a human level so people don’t just understand the strategy, they feel inspired to own it and bring it to life.
I typically engage with companies in three ways:
Long-term embedded leadership to drive strategy and execution across critical areas.
High-impact advisory and project work, delivered independently, or as part of your team.
Facilitated sessions to align teams, unlock insights, and spark momentum.
I help leadership teams put in place the core elements needed for sustainable growth and effective execution. Together, we define priorities, make critical decisions, and build the structures that turn vision into action.
Align leadership around the most important priorities, required capabilities, and the metrics that define success.
Design scalable org models that support the core business while enabling growth into new products, markets, or initiatives.
Build internal systems and cross-functional alignment (e.g., Product & Sales), supported by clear, outcome-oriented KPIs.
Define your ideal customer, pricing model, and customer-facing content that drives engagement and conversion.
Make smart build, buy, or partner decisions that align with your stage, strategy, and capabilities.
Develop the story, metrics, and operating discipline needed to raise capital or plan for an exit—from Series B to strategic sale or private equity recap.
Avnish combines strategic vision, operational execution, and the ability to lead and inspire teams. He was pivotal to IronPlanet’s growth and eventual sale to Ritchie Bros.
Avnish inspires confidence. He’s fluent in both strategy and finance, and knows how to tell a company’s story in a way that moves investors. During our diligence and investment in Picsart, he stood out as someone who could translate opportunities and challenges into clear, compelling narratives—and then help drive the execution to deliver on them.
Working with Avnish reshaped our growth trajectory in our core business and in new opportunities. He sees the big picture and knows how to dig into the details when it matters. He’s brought discipline to our planning, got our execution aligned, and added a strategic lens that’s made a real difference — plus he’s just plain great to work with.
Avnish offers a mix of urgency and precision -- he worked quickly, focusing only on what drove the business. At Eventbrite, he was the backbone for our effort to incubate new businesses, always finding ways to turn ideas into revenue streams. He connects financial acumen, operational expertise and the ability to implement at the top tier of anyone I have worked with. He is also good with people and finds a way to work with almost anyone in doing the above, probably the rarest trait in the Valley.
Avnish was an excellent thought and execution partner, helping us clarify our positioning and setting us up for growth and strategic interest. He has a deep understanding of how marketplaces work, how to balance growth and efficiency, and brings a broad network of operators, investors, and partners that will benefit any scaling technology business.
When we have growth opportunities come our way or challenges related to sales & marketing, product positioning, or pricing, Avnish is the first guy we call. He is a force.
I’ve spent the last decade inside growth-stage and mid-market businesses, leading P&Ls, building new products, navigating turnarounds, raising capital, and scaling teams with clarity, discipline, and humanity.
Most recently, I held leadership roles at several Marketplace and SaaS companies, including Lily AI (COO/turnaround CFO), Picsart (SVP, Ops & Strategy), Eventbrite (VP/GM, New Products), and IronPlanet (VP/General Manager).
My career began in middle-market private equity at Audax Group, as a management consultant, and in investment banking. I started even earlier helping my parents run small businesses in real estate property management and food distribution.
That full arc—from family-run businesses to Wall Street to operating and scaling businesses—informs everything I do. It helps me speak the language of both the boardroom and the front line, and bring structure, insight, and humanity to the work.
I’m passionate about this work because it lets me connect vision and strategy to what really drives people. I believe capitalism, at its best, can be a force for progress, and I want to help leaders use it that way.
